Get to Know CMSD: Our district is located in beautiful Clarksdale, Mississippi in the storied Mississippi Delta. Our town offers small town charm close to big city conveniences. Our town is known for its rich music history and its friendly and colorful people. The Clarksdale Municipal School District serves approximately 3,500 students in grades K-12. Eleven schools are located in our district: one high school, two middle schools, six elementary schools, one vocational center, and one alternative education center. Like the Mississippi Delta, our district has a proud history and is brimming with tradition. I am excited to be able to lead a team of over 500 caring professionals who carry out the responsibility of educating our most precious resource…the children of our district. Our district is blessed to have a dedicated board of trustees, growing community support and increasing parental involvement, and many nurturing professionals. It is my pledge as this district’s leader to work hard every day to improve the educational outcomes of our children.
